Council Highlights

The council meeting was held Tuesday, June 10, 2008. Following are highlights of the meeting:

  • At Synod Assembly, Trinity United was recognized for: 1) Participation in the ELCA World Hunger Appeal, giving $1.93 per baptized member. Also recognized were 39 congregations that reached the goal, giving $5.00 per baptized member. 2) North Conference Dean Doug Meyer presented Trinity United a certificate recognizing the 15th Anniversary of the formation of Trinity United Lutheran Church on June 13, 1993
  • Volunteers from Sagrado Corazon & Trinity United will staff the Mobile Food Pantry on Saturday, June 28
  • Recent storms caused roof damage — missing shingles and a hole. The hole caused water damage in Larson Hall and has been repaired. The Porter Street handicap ramp project is postponed indefinitely. Trinity’s parking lot needs repair
  • Linda McCulloch and Katie Szostak have agreed to serve as Trinity/Sagrado Corazon Team members. Two more are needed. (see Trinity United & Sagrado Corazon article below)
  • Pastor Rich led a discussion about restructuring Trinity ministry teams.

    The next meeting of the church council will be held Tuesday, July 8 at 7:30 PM in the Library/Conference Room.. Members and guests are welcome.
