  1. CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS
In the past, the financial secretary has sent out contribution statements on a quarterly basis. This year, that practice will be adjusted to reflect the recommendations of the Synod Stewardship Renewal Program. We will continue to send out statements four times a year. The revised schedule will include the following mailing dates:
    • 1st week in May: for contributions posted through April 30
    • 1st week in September: for contributions posted through August 31
    • 1st week in December: for contributions posted through November 30
    • 3rd week in January: for contributions posted through December 31
Any questions about your contribution statements can be directed to our financial secretary, Linda McConnell, by calling the church office: 847-623-1197
  2. SIMPLY GIVING
Would you find it helpful to have your offerings taken from you bank account as you do other monthly drafts? At no cost to the congregation? Thrivent Financial sponsors a program called Simply Giving which offers this service for people who wish to have offerings transferred electronically into their church's account. The Trinity United Church Council has approved this program for those who choose to participate in it. Contact the church office for more details

Annual Report of Stewardship

We Say Yes! was the theme for the 2006 Stewardship program. Through bulletin inserts, letters, newsletter articles and temple talks we invited the congregation to say “Yes!” to God, “Yes!” to their church, and “Yes!” to a new commitment to live out their faith in their lives. Built on a firm Lutheran understanding of the biblical accountability, the program encouraged members to be trustworthy servants and stewards, to make good choices with our time, abilities and money.

Commitment Sunday was held on November 19. At the end of December 2006, 57 pledge units had returned their pledge cards for 2007 WITH $112,642 pledged for current expenses, $5900 pledged for special funds, for a total of $118,544. If you have not returned yours, please do it soon
